MyBB

Installations

I will install MyBB for you. To do this I will need your FTP and database details, unless you would need me to setup the database too. Also, you can choose to provide me with what you would want the board to be called, as well as what you want your admin account to be called; this can be changed by you after, but would save you the bother of having to change it if it was done for you.

Upgrades

I will be happy to do major upgrades (1.2.x > 1.4.x) and minor upgrades (1.4.x > 1.4.x). For this, I need your FTP details and forum admin login details. The forum admin login is needed so I can make a database backup before the upgrade, and I would also need it to login to the upgrader. I also ask that you create downlaod a database backup of your own first, in case there is something wrong with the one I take, and for your own peace of mind, knowing you personally have a backup.

Server Moves

If you need to transfer your forum to a new host, I will need FTP details of BOTH hosts, and database details of BOTH hosts. I would also need forum admin login details to make a database backup. I also ask that you create downlaod a database AND file backup of your own first, in case there is something wrong with the one I take, and for your own peace of mind, knowing you personally have a backup.

Merges/Conversions

If you are planning on merging your forum to MyBB from another software, please provide me with FTP and database details; database details need to be for BOTH the MyBB database and the database used by the other forum. Also, please provide the exact version of the forum software you are converting from.

Extra Information

Fees

There is no charge for any service, but any form of donation, particularly for bigger jobs, would be very much appreciated but is by no means compulsory.

Timing

If you give me notice of the work you want done, and give me a reasonable amount of time to do it, I will get it done as soon as I can; constantly contacting me to get it done faster won’t make it happen any faster. I take my time with things to make sure they’re done properly so me not rushing it would be in your best interest.
