In November 2007 I started using MyBB 1.2 for a forum I had an idea for, and although it was a failure beyond all comprehension, it did get me using MyBB. In April 2008 I joined the MyBB Community Forums, posted on and off for a bit, and then in around August/September time, shortly after the release of MyBB 1.4.0, I started trying to help people in the Support Forums, despite not knowing much to begin with, but got to know MyBB more and more. Then, some 3/4 months later, in December 2008, I joined the MyBB Support Team. I was really happy about this, not only because I was on the Team of such an amazingly good forum software group, but also because I’d learnt so much more that I ever imagined I would, which has inspired me to learn PHP and MySQL to further my understanding even more.

- @JOE_COOK Had a look at one today, liked it. None in stock though D: 5 hours ago
- Checked out an iPhone 4. Wonderfully put together. Amazing screen. Great camera. None in stock. 5 hours ago
- @chriswb Exactly. I mean Apple/iPhone 4/iOS has it's flaws but I just couldn't live with the Android versioning system. 10 hours ago
- @JOE_COOK Hey; how you finding your iPhone 4?? Thinking about getting one. Hate versioning of Android, might get iPhone instead of new iPod. 10 hours ago
- @chriswb Agreed. With iOS it's one thing, not loads of different flavours. I mean some Android apps only work on certain phones; it's stupid 10 hours ago
- So, instead of getting an Android phone and a new iPod, would an iPhone be a better alternative?? Everything in one. 10 hours ago
hey matt,
I’ve recently switched to bluehost.com and would love to have a forum, but the problem is I dont know how to install it on there…can you please help me?
Can do, have you read the installation tips in the Documentation and the installer guide on the MyBB Wiki?? I also have an installation tutorial on http://www.learnmybb.com
Matt:
where are your forums hosted?
The host Learn MyBB is on went out of business a while back when one of the servers crashed and there was mass data loss… I’m one of the very few people still being hosted on one of the other plans, for free. If I was working more on the forum I’d probably move it to a different host.
Great site but Im still confused about hosting so much to choose from the problem is finding a good reliable host.
What sort of size are you looking for?? Free or paid?? How big is your forum, if you currently have one??
